GABON – Libreville drinking water supply project

Owner: Société d’Énergie et d’Eau du Gabon (SEEG)

Supervision: Département Technique et Performance de la SEEG

Contractor: ETE/Razel Water Solutions

Financing: The Gabonese state

Cost: 1,725 million euros

Duration: October 2018 – July 2019

Razel Water Solutions is building a 1400 m3/h water treatment plant with a raw water supply from the CIMGABON 2 quarry reservoir. The main components of the drinking water treatment plant are:

  • a 500 m3 GRP treated water tank and a 70 m3 raw water container;
  • 6 11 m x 2.2 m pressure sand filters;
  • 11 KSB pumps ranging from 7.5 kW to 90 kW;
  • 1 electric shelter with 11 Schneider variable speed drives;
  • 1 600 l/h chlorination skid.

A division of the Razel-Bec group and therefore the Fayat group, Razel Water Solutions has relied on the skills of Fayat’s Boiler Manufacturing division for supplying the piping and surge tank.

The plant has been entirely modelled in 3D and is fully automated and is controllable from the general supervision system. All pumps are driven by frequency inverters.

The plant will increase the volume of Libreville drinking water by 15%.
